HEALTHY START
is a program dedicated to school-linked services. The program is operated
by a local collaboration comprised of key individuals and agencies in the
fields of health and human services, local government, schools, and the
community to better meet the needs of youth and families. Collaborative meetings are held on campus in the community classroom (Room P-20) on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:30 a.m. Students, staff, and parents are welcome and encouraged to participate. The Healthy Start Program offers the following services:

HEALTH
& HUMAN SERVICES CAREERS ACADEMY (HHSCA)
(Brochure) HHSCA is program that emphasizes health careers pathway training. Students are given the opportunity to observe different health professionals in their work settings through a job shadow program and specialized health classes.
Recruitment for the
HHSCA begins
in January each year. Interested students must submit a completed
application prior to an interview. Applications are available by

PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE REFERRAL This service provides referrals to services both on campus and throughout the community. Information on social services and health services at the county level are provided to students and families. Dental and medical information are included.
